Terms of use

Use Typelure responsibly.

These terms describe the current free, local-first editor and its public learning content.

Effective September 20, 2026

Using the service

You may use Typelure to create, inspect, edit, validate, and export fonts for lawful purposes. Do not use the service to infringe intellectual-property rights, bypass font licenses, distribute malware, interfere with the site, or misrepresent another person's work as your own.

Your fonts and source material

You retain the rights you already hold in original glyphs, artwork, project data, and fonts you create. Using Typelure does not transfer those rights to Typelure. It also does not grant rights in a font or image you did not own or have permission to modify.

You are responsible for checking the licenses that apply to imported fonts, source images, derivative work, embedding, redistribution, and commercial use.

Local storage and backups

The current editor stores its active project locally in the browser. Typelure does not promise cloud recovery, long-term retention, or compatibility with every future build. Keep independent copies of source artwork and exported font files before clearing site data or changing devices.

Output and compatibility

Font software is sensitive to outline, table, naming, platform, and application differences. Validate exported files in the environments where they will be used. Typelure does not guarantee that every source table, hint, layout feature, or application-specific behavior will survive import and export.

Availability and changes

Typelure is provided on an as-available basis. Features, supported formats, limits, advertising, and these terms may change as the product develops. The public site will describe material changes to data handling or paid services before they are enabled.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the extent permitted by law, Typelure is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free output. You are responsible for reviewing and backing up work before relying on it for production or distribution.

Privacy

The Privacy page explains local project storage, optional analytics, and advertising requests. It forms part of these terms.
